RCFB – Flexi-boots Insulating Boot Kits – Up to 17kV
RCFB Insulating boots are used when phase to phase and or phase to earth clearances are inadequate for the voltage class used.
REPL Bushing insulating Elastomeric Boots are used to insulate the bushing in switchgear and transformer cable termination boxes up to 17.5 kV specially where the clearances between phase to phase and phase to earth is less than the normal air clearance. These boots provide protection against flash over in the event of high humidity menace and surge impulse. The Boots are made from highly insulating flexible and weather resistant elastomeric material.
The anti-tracking elastomeric boot posses excellent erosion resistance, environmental resistance and dielectric properties,providing superb performance in areas of electrical stress and high humidity. RCFB insulating boots are quick and easy to install. Taping of the termination or bushing not required. The boots can be removed easily for convenient access to the bushing connection for testing purposes. After testing the boot can be reinstalled easily without using additional material or tooling.
RCFB boots can be used with all REPL heat shrinkable terminations.
